Let me start off by saying I don't have a clue if this should be in the installation part of the forum or not, so if it is wrong, feel free to move it mods.

I found out about a month ago that one of my friends has had subs for about seven years that he never hooked up and he said he would be willing to sell me for thirty dollars, that includes the sub the amp and the amp wiring kit and its already in a box. According to him it was put together by a friend of his who did it as his job, and he paid around 200 for it seven years ago. I needed a little bass not a whole ton, just to make the overall sound of the car better so I said what the heck I'll test it and if it works decent I'll buy it.

Got the subs today and there is no labeling on anything, no clue what type of amp it is, no clue what kind of speakers they are other than they are 2 ten inch speakers.

I will try to get some better pictures of the amp tomorrow, and I am going to take the box apart to see if there is any writing on the back of the subs.

It came with a 4 channel amp wiring kit, which I guess the guy who put together the box bought for use with this amp. so it should work?

I havn't a clue how it needs to be wired though. The amp kit is this one, http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6292_Scosche+KPA4X2.html I believe

I apologize, much of this at least the wiring bit may seem very obvious to you, but I did look at the wiring instructions that came with the amp kit and they were not all that clear, and most stuff online is universal/generic directions. I get the general idea of how to wire a amp but not positive about this one because it is 4 channel.

I appreciate the help and patience any of you give me.

I may have gave you the wrong impression, not really interested in selling. I just said grab bag because my friend said I could have it for thirty dollars if it still worked, and because even though it's now in my room, I have no clue what its made of. I don't think its the amp your thinking of it has a oval on the top but whatever was there if anything ever there, isn't there now. I'll post pics later.

I found some more out last night, found some other people on the web who from the sounds of it had the same exact box and speakers and where also trying to find a brand, so that leads me to believe my friends friend ( I hate saying that), didn't actually build anything he just hooked up the amp.

Anyone know exactly how I need to hook up the amp with the 4 channel lines?

looks like and old school rockford amp...what is the model # on it....should say on the front of it or a sticker on the back. and you will want to bridge the front and rear channels and use it as a 2-channel...one to each sub...hard to see in the pic you have but should show how to bridge em like this:

Just got done taking the amp off, it is indeed a rockford fosgate amp, punch 600.4

74 x 4 watts rms cont power in 4 ohms with less than .05% thd from 20-20khz

150x4 watts rms continuous power into 2 ohms with less than .10% thd from 20khz-20khz

upc cod e is all ripped up can't see that

overall sounds like a rather poor amp to me, I'll look up a bit more on it, online see what I find.

The speakers are vr3 vbp1010/rbp1010 01053, can't seem to even find a single bit of information about the speakers
