the title pretty much explains it. im looking for a good 15" (cause i have the space) for my dorm. my amp is rated for up to 550wrms at 4omhs, so anything under that. price range is under 130. Im flexible on that if its a good deal. i really dont know where to start on cheaper subs. ive always gone alpine in my car but thats unnecessary for my dorm. thanks for your suggestions.

Hurry up and grab one of these while you can. Nothing else will really compare for the price.

They're very similar to AE's av15 which is comparable to an Rl-p 15".

I own an av12 and I have been thoroughly impressed with the driver as far as output, low frequency extension, and sound quality. They're solid and very efficient with low power. The videos in my sig are from one 12 with only about 300 watts on it.

Triple that power and that av12 will come to life.

Hum,How comparble to the Rlp?Given 1000wrms>?Do they make em in 18s?I might be able to fit 3 15s....I am ready to try something new, either start try to put up numbers or A decent powered (3-4K)pair or "SQL" subs,RE XXXs,SS Rlps,Or DD3518s composites?IDK,I thnk I might hop in these.

I think that my av12 has a better sound than the Rl-p 15 but it's not as tolerable to abuse and the 2" coil can't take as much power as the Rl-p but then it doesn't really need it to get moving.

I wouldn't run any more than about a cautious 1k to the avs and these would be the same seeing as it's the same coil and think the same motor.

That's actually pretty funny seeing that I just bought an Autotek mm2000.1.

I was watching your vid thinking, man, that thing hasn't started to move yet, if he only knew! I think your spot on about 1k, I wouldn't hit it with more than 500 per coil unless it short bursts under 50htz in the rec. enclosure. It's going to slam with that Autotek...

Yea, I had it on a directed 1500d but had some issues (with the amp's crossovers).

The only problem is that I don't have a car as of yet since my integra got stolen. They got my 1500d but they didn't get my av12 as I had taken it out a few days before for some home theater use.

Sorry to hear that, it's bad enough when someone steals your system, but the whole car....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
