Hey guys, FYI I'm a total audio noob, which is why I'm seeking y'alls EXPERT advice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT v6 6-Speed w/ the Premium Infinity Sound System. However, I will be replacing the head unit as well as adding subs and an amp. As for the head unit, I've pretty much settled on the Eclipse AVN52D which will cost me $525, leaving $275 for an amp + subs; however, feel free to recommend another head unit if you wish. Still searching for an amp and subs: I would probably like 2 12" subs to go in the trunk as that is what most Tiburon owners recommend. Here's some pictures of my car:

So far, this is what I'm getting:

[$525] Head Unit: ECLIPSE AVN52D 2 DIN 7" LCD DVD +GPS NAVIGATION AVN5510 - $525

[$275] Amp + Subs: ??????????

man, i'd go ahead and get the head unit, and just buy a 4 channel amp with some nice comps, and then save up for your substage. Having a nice *** headunit like that is so much better, IMO.

you're not giong to find anything that nice for only 275/shipped. Especially since youre going to need a box (100) and wiring (50?). That leaves 125 for subs and amp, LOL.

Since you sound like a noob, i think ill mention how important a proper box is. Dont buy anything premade on ebay or bestbuy, etc, you need to have one designed and built either by yourself or someone on here.

Id say your options are extremely limited with your budget...just save more. If you get alittle more, you can start lookign at RE SE's, Type R's, etc. Those will all run you about 125 for the sub, then youll need a ~600 watt amp which you can find for aroun 100.

You're ****ing stupid..

You're going to waste $525 on the hu and leave the rest for subs and amp?

And just a little fyi, and sub and an amp isn't a "system"

Lol I was considering to get something like this package:

MTX Audio Terminator TNP212D - Amplified and Loaded Dual 12" Enclosed Subwoofer System - $249.99

Honestly, I'm 16 years old in High School so I don't need the "absolute best" stuff. I just want something that sounds great, kicks, and won't blow up lol.

Give The Kid A Break..if He Wants Trash Then He Will Get Trash, In My Opinion You Should Get A 7" Motorized Touchscreen One For Around 300, Thats If You Do Ur Research And Can Find A Good Deal, That Will Leave You 500 For Amp, Subs. And WIRES

Get urself a single 15( fi ssd, alpine type R, RE se, or something similar) and 1000wrms amp ( hifonics or audioque). Ull be suprised how well a single 15 will sound. U can find both of these for around 250-300$. Then find a cheap custom box 50-100$ and a 4 guage wire kit 30-60$

Lol, buy that and I would be one of those people that walk by and start laughing at your "system". That is garbage. You really need to search around here to understand how much better stuff there is for only a little more $, or even the same price if you get a deal.

Dont' be a noob. When I was 16 I already had a pretty bangin system...and I spend around 800 total on it as well. It was a Type R in a 2.4 cube box, 600 watt amp to that, components up front, and another amp 150x2 for the fronts. And I got some deadener and a nice head unit. You wasted way too much money on that head unit...
