Fuses on a sub?

I have been checking out Boston 'G' subs and I noticed they have two fuses on them..... wtf? why?

Depending on what fuses are put where decides the ohm load I think.

Probably so if hte amp fries, the fuses blow instead of blowing the sub.

yea i guess it would save the sub also, incase you overpower it instead of fryin a voice coil it would blow a fuse, sounds pretty smart to me

My home audio speakers have circuit breakers on them to protect them.......so in other words yes it will work, they sell them at partsexpress, just use ohms law to figure out your value

ahh the fuse is there for wiring purposes. instead of runnin another wire to the other voice coil you use the fuse instead, AND it also prodects the sub incase ya over power it

select between series or parallel voice-coil operation (DVC only). The

fuses also provide voice-coil protection under transient conditions such

as accidental momentary overdrive. The fuses will not protect against

voice-coil failure resulting from long term high power abuse.
