fuse holder and wires getting hott

a problem I've been having recently is fuse holders getting extremely hot and melting/ and subwoofer speaker wires getting hot. What should I do replace the fuse with higher or lower amp? and replace the wires with thicker wires?

I had a similar problem happening in my first ever audio build! I replaced my small 8AWG wire with a 4AWG wire and got matching fuses for the wire. Poof, never happened again.

What are you using and what are you running?

Cant help without knowing what you are fusing.

had problem with 3 installs

example 1) 4awg 12+, (under passenger seat)mids amp 300 watt punch 8awg(power n ground), db drive 1500.1 4awg(power and ground), 2.6F capacitor. using distribution block 4awg also

Hey bud run 0 gauge from front battery to back use your 4 gauge with appropriate fuses for amps. Your asking to much out of 4 gauge on a run that long
