Equation for setting your gain

Well since the link isn't working for me, can someone tell me what the equation is?

I know it has to do with the RMS you want, the voltage you will be running at and how many ohms it is running at...

Voltage=Sqrt(power*resistance).
Eg: 90 watt rms speakers, 110 watt per channel amp. Use the lower of the 2 for power, multiply by resistance. Eg: 90*4(4ohm speaker)=360. Take Sqrt of 360, = 18.97 volts. from post of GYMWAY

Also I downloaded a 20hz -3db test tone.. Would anyone recommend something different?

why 20 hz? unless you want to see how far ur subs excurt...

I'd prefer 50Hz for subs and 1kHz for mids&highs.

Yes, there's a little chance for clipping if a song goes up to 0dB but there are less than a handful on songs AFAIK that go so high.

I used 0dB just to be safe and an o'scope to set my gains.
