EQ and Sub

I am looking for an external half space eq and a sub. My alpine hu is too complicated EQ wise and I want something with some knobs that i can turn while driving to adjust the eq. I was looking at the Arc Audio KEQ5 or whatever it is called. For a sub i am thinking 10" as I am going for sound quality and not boom. I was think Arc D10. Any other suggestions? Right now I am waiting on quotes from Don, but I am not locked into these choices. I am looking for quality but as cheap as possible.

Which Alpine model do you have?

A parametric EQ with knobs is actually going to be more difficult to set up, the EQ in Alpines with the Bio-Lite display is painfully easy to set up the first time.

Well even Don, said it was a pain in the ass trying to eq my cda 9833, i want knobs that i can turn. I dont care if it has 3 knobs that say bass, mid and treble, 7 knobs, or 1 giant one that says tone!
