just a thought on the sub inserts... couldn't you cut the top ring 17.5 and the bottom one 14 3/16?? idk how it would change sub placement but it would sure make insetting the subs easier for ya man

Why does everyone clamp so much, the nails are there to hold it together until the glue dries.

I dunno, good precaution I guess.
