Ok I'm finally getting to building a good box for my two SEs. My current box is huge and ugly and made out of OSB... It slams, but I know theres a lot more to be had out of my SEs.

EDIT: Update on page two

EDIT 2: Vid

and lots of pics on page 5 and 6.

I'm running an AQ1200d right now, and want to up my power a bit some day. Heres my design. It's 4.96 cubes tuned to 32Hz and using four 4" PVC ports with rounded over ends.

I got all the cuts done and ready to go.

Heres a mock up of the baffle, I'm not gonna glue it till I make sure it works with the SEs that are in my car.

I ran into a problem... I use this thing I made for the holes, but It wont cut a 2" radius for the 4" ports....

How do you guys cut out good circles for 4" ports? I need to do 4" and 4.25" cut outs?

i ran into the same problem when tryingto cut out rings for my door speakers i went and bought a smaller router. i put a 15 in my gf escape how is your voltage with the 1200 and the600.4
I did the "big 2" with 1/0 and both my amps are running off 4 gauge wire (I'm running another run of kicker 4 gauge soon) and an 8 gauge ground (yikes) but lowest i've ever seen in drop at idle was 13.1.. so not bad considering the conditions. Thats at full tilt with a tad of clipping as well.

And I can't really afford to get another router, anyone else have any ideas about the 4" ports?

im going to do subs up port out the side. 40X26X13.5 so it will be able to be covered by the little flap that came in the car i temp box i have it in sticks up above the window line and im worried that someone may decide they need it more than she does

Ya 40 wide is the most we can fit between the wheel wells, but port to the side is fine because theres room between the wall and wheel well. I thought about it, but this works for me.

yea i just toss everything in there a couple weeks ago and if i point the box back it rattles because i havent done any deadening
I put in a bit of deadening on the metal and I adhered some styrofoam to the plastic panel because it rattled too, and it helped but subs back still rattles a ton lol. Subs up gets the immediate roof going good though haha.

for anything I under 5 inches i use a whole saw. you can go to harbor freight and get the same set I got for around 10 bux
Ok, I was thinking that's my only way. I'm sure they make a 4", but what about the 4.25" cut? just go back and sand a 4"?
