They couldnt help to the point of noticing, but they help have more glue surface area in the corners for some strength...definitely help out but on a pretty small scale I would say

Meh, not too big of a hassle...I like adding them in, but not entirely necessary

Looks great as always but I have a small problem with the pics. The R13 insulation is driving me crazy being upside down. When I insulate a house I make sure every single piece is right side up. Alright, I got the outter piece primed up and ready to paint..

Hit the outter sides+bottom of the ports with some more paint...
