Not with a single DVC 4 ohm subwoofer - you would need a DVC 2 ohm driver.

why shouldnt i get a 2 ohm driver and then wire it at 1 ohm to get the full 1200w then?

even if i wanted to go 1000w i could set the gains down.

Josh is just saying that we don't cover burnt coils under warranty. If you do decide to go with the Dual 2, you will need to watch your power level while your playing it. Best bet is do get that Dual 4 and wire it to 2 ohms, or get 2 LI D4's and wire them to 1 ohm on that amp.

The sub is what determines what load the amp sees.

The voice coil configuration and the way the sub is wired determines the ohm load the amp sees which is what determines how much power the amp produces.
