Controlling Sub volume in stock 2010 civic

1st post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So I have a 2010 Honda Civic with a stock stereo, and I'm currently the owner of a Kicker C series sub, box, and 500 watt Rockford Fosgate Amp. I've read the thread below (in next post) about how to hook this subwoofer into the stock system by splicing the wires, but will this give me any control whatsoever of the volume of the sub? I'd be splicing the back speaker wires and hooking up a PAC SNI15 Line Output Converter (RCA Converter) to hook the sub into the system

Any help would be appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm not exactly sure what that is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

Don't ban me for asking this... Is installing the RCA converter and the gain knob something that Best buy could do? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif

The gain know would be an external gain control on the amp. It's a knob that connects with a phone like cable to the amp. Or there's a version that your rca runs through if the amp doesn't have an external bass control. Best buy can do it but will cost you more than it's worth.

The remote gain knob is inherent to the amp, but Rockford usually just has a punch bass control that is a 45Hz bass boost.

If you disconnect the rear speakers and tap them for the LOC, you can use your fader as a sub level control.

Yet again another question...

My car dealership in their wisdom lost the power cable for my sub when they helped me move my sub into my new car (not installed, just physically moved).... Where can I get this cable? Pictures attached

What is that? 10 gauge? Walmart.

u can always get better power wire check out audiosavings.com and go with 4 gauge....
It sounds like he doesn't really care... But you're right. The Cadence kits are pretty cheap on there. If he's going to run a new power he might as well redo the whole thing.

I do care, I'm just really unsure about anything in terms of car audio. This is why I wanted to ask here, so continuing it what would the difference be for me between 4 gauge and 10 gauge?

What overall difference will using the kit make? Not questioning anything just want to get some more knowledge on the subject
