Can my sub really handle this much?

RMSchartvoltguide.jpg

Set your gain with a DMM on 50hz with the DMM set at VAC with the speakers unhooked. Match the numbers to your amp. Will get you close then fine tune by ear.

Circled number would be VAC at 2ohms with 4000 watts RMS.

I have a single 10" DVC 4ohm sub rated for 600rms. Can I realistically run 1000 watts to it if I channel the power down? Adjust the gain, turn the bass down through the head unit. Or is this risking to much?
Thanks
If you "channel the power down" and "turn the bass down through the head unit", you aren't running 1000 watts to it..
