Burp box...

Those are the ones ill play if im doing street beat or bass race type stuff
What sort of numbers are competitive in those formats?.. IDK sh*t about classes or what you can run to be in a certain class... I've got 2 12's, am about 2-3" above window line, 3 batteries and 2 sub amps with a third for highs... USACi would classify that as ????

In usaci i run stock 2k clamped, 0-3500 and sb1. You could also do those 3.
I streetbeat about 150.5 and burp about 151.5
They sound like cone area is not a class factor anymore and power is more the guideline... Couldn't somebody show up with 6 12" for instance in 0-3500?.. 3 15's?... etc... I'll just look at the USACi site like I should do anyways... I haven't competed since 1998 but this box is sounding fairly good and slightly painful... I'm not going to predict any number but I believe you... you were right before... I'm sure they have the classes and requirements all cut and dry in a rulebook... LOL!

Street beat has cone area requirements. The others are power requirements.

But yes, someone could show up with 4 efficient 15s in a good box in the lower classes and clean house.

IIRC USACi is a chart where both power and cone area is taken into account. Cone area doesn't usually win in and of itself because you still have limits on height of box and it must stay in the cargo area. Also crowding a box into the cargo area often robs you of the ability to move it around to find some more tenths. It comes to a point where the cars that get loud easily have the big edge, cone area notwithstanding.

BTW... thanks for the selection, those all sound great... IDK what I expected but it actually does not sound bad at all... Rock is what I mainly listen to... at the meet I'll want something different... but I've got my SSF at 40 hz or so... just in case... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
I continually ask people why they always insist on whale-song tuning these days, especially if they plan to play actual music played on instruments.

Ok... poor choice of words on a forum with some members that probably demo at 154+...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/slap.gif.87520e8ca8e90076ac30e777c0de5331.gif... I could and should have said slightly louder... ok?

I like that... " Whale song tuning"... LOL!... that does make a good point... I had originally planned on Sundown X's at 30 hz next year, but IDK... maybe a larger range of bass will serve... Heck... I only took a quick listen yesterday and the "burp" box did not sound ALL bad... got me thinking, that's for sure...

Pressure and pain are two different things. Output should not be painful. At least not in sub bass

I think I'll wait till Wednesday to put it to the meter... I've got to secure the battery!.. it's HOT out and I'm taking my time (10 minutes outside then a 20 minute break)... I just took the wife to work and went over a speed hump slowly, heard something thump in back and looked at what it was when I got home... the battery had slid/moved about 1 ft... NOT GOOD... It's parked with all fuses removed till I'm done with the battery box!..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif... that's a close call that I don't want to happen twice...

Earplugs/earmuffs my friend. Some tones can be very annoying to the ear. At least for me it is.
I got a whole pouch of disposable custom fit -31 db foam plugs left over from my last job... lucky me!... LOL!

Then you should be tuned to the low 40s to high 30s from the start and never anywhere under 36.
