I'm shooting myself in the foot.
A few years ago a forum member designed a box for me. He's a good dude for designing it and I'm a shit head for not making it. With that, don't help me because I don't deserve it.
Little back story:
Currently using some premade box with 3/8 particle board I bought off of Amazon 10 years ago. 8 years ago I was in a severe car accident and the box was damaged. It was a busy time, so I repaired it with some drywall screws and told myself I would get around to a better solution eventually. I've been listening to this shit box for 8 years. It sounds ******* awful but I lived with it cause I'd rather spend my money on go fast parts.
So I got to thinking that I have wood and all the related tools and materials to build a new box so why not throw something together? No matter what I do, it's gonna be better than this.
The plan:
Make a sub box without the use of any apps or calculators.
I took a seat out of my truck which nets me dimensions: 20.5w x 23l x 32t = 7.2 cu ft (premade is only 2.6 cu. ft.)
15" Cerwin Vega Stroker
slot port: 19 x 3 x 12
Some shit Rockville 4000watt amp (still working after 10 years)
3/4 Maple or 3/4 MDF ( I have both )
Big 3
Two batteries
0g welding wire
stock 160amp alt.
I'm sure it will look like a child built it.
I'm sure everyone could do a better job.
Hopefully it will inspire someone to be as mediocre as I am.
Thanks for reading. I'll keep this updated.
