yeah, it is.
Can I ask why you have the gain up so far??

A lot of amps get noisy when the gain is up high. a.k.a a high noise floor. Usually it's the cheaper amps that have this problem.

Is turning the gain up that far the only way for you to match it with your subs?

If the answer to this is yes then you need to turn down your subs.

Or is your head unit have LOW preout voltage.??

Most head units today have decent preout voltage. What headunit are you using.??

Also, what amp are you using ??

What is the impedance of your components?? in ohms.

sorry that they gave you so much bull shit!

i woudn't do business with those guys any more if i where you.

call cerwin vega & deal with them

some amps if they get to heat or start to clip they go into protective mode in which they shut off.

1.i dont have the gain so far. they tuned it like that. but when I TUNED IT MYSELF. i had my gain only about 25% up. but they tune it to about 80-100 max. idk WHY. fcuking retards.

2.yeah it is to match my subs. :\ but it sounds ROCKING. haha i guess i'll just turn it down. but if i turn it down till where there is no distortion or hissing, itll sound like factory speakers

3. no it doesnt have low preouts. i have the pioneer premier 600ub.

4.im using a cerwin vega V400.4

idk what impedance it is at though :\

idk what to do anymore. i mean this is bull shit! foreal. but whatever.

lol if i call them and ask me how im running. i won't be able to tell them. i have no idea whats what or how to do what. i know its bridged. but idk how to do any other way. or how else to connect it, if its at 4 or 2 ohms :\ so i won't really be able to help them help me :[

correct me if im wrong, but the amp and/or components, when there are hissing through the tweets and amps overheating, it is actually getting damaged?? or is it not? or only if its long term??

if you call cerwin vega up, you tell them that your amp is over heating & clipping to where it shuts off if you turn your gains more then have way up.

let them know that you have it bridged into two channels.

they should be able to let you know how much power the amp is pushing when bridged & the ohm load.

you still have the option to switch apms around, it may solve part of your prolem.

most companies, not all aren't like shops, they have customer/tech support to help you out even if you dont know what your'e doing.

hissing isn't going to kill your tweeters, but you dont want to hear that either.

some amps get hot, but if it gets to hot some amps go into protective mode & shuts off, if you turn up your gains up half way it shouldn't cut off unless it's clipping.

you dont need to turn your gains knob up, on my amp my gains are all the way down.

all right!! thanks alot man!! i really appreciate all your help. i think im going to call cerwin vega probably tuesday or wednesday cause i have tests in my classes on mond and tues. so probably tuesday after class. hoopeffully. then i'll get back at you!!

and then i'll see if i can try switchin the amps. its going to be pretty weird. haha i think. but idk. like i said, idk if i'd be hooking up the amp at 4 ohms or 2 ohms or 1 ohms if i switch amps lol i really don't wanna do anything unless i know what im doing and it wont hurt any of the gear
