so where are the pics @????

no dont nail it down, use screw nails if you brace it down,

is your box made out of 5/8 mdf???

3/4 is better,go listen to your box & see if it moves when the volume is up, & see if the box flexs as well

i can't find a good camera. LOLOL

but yeah. my box. probox. is made out of layers and layers of HDF.

look up PROBOX on google

it doesn't move cause its so perfectly made. the only downside of my probox is that its tuned at such a high frequency. in the 40's :[

what is your boxtuned to?

you can change the xover points on the amp up to around 65,

i looked up the probox, i never heard one before, they look good, but looks dont mean anything.

you could have the best made box in the world, it will still move from vibration!!!

mounting it down does help.

are you going to let your friend adjust your gear for you????

use your carema phone to take pics??

yeah i'll probably get it done from him. he said she'll show me the ropes. i asked him about the big 3 cause i really need it. he said that's still not going to help. what else do you think i'll need besides getting the big 3 done??

i dont have a camera. :[ but i'll try to borrow someones real quick. maybe tomorrow or thursday. those are the days i'll be free of work.

for probox. i heard those are tuned to the high 40's.

even if your probox is tuned to 40, you still need to adjust the xover on your amp.

have him help you brace your box down,

have him teach you how to take the door panels off to get to your passive xovers,

have him show you how to adjust the tweeter on the passive

dist block

you need to buy some deadener & deaden your doors first,

the big three helps over all/ please read

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i think i'll get the big 3 done and also get all my wires even all at 4 awg instead of a 4 and 8 :\

idk what im goin to do about deadener. i really need it for my trunk and doors. but im so poor.

so I read your post over @ diyma, so does your friend work for a shop or something?

if you can find maybe 20 or 30 bucks you can start with your doors, then when you get more monies you can finish the doors up, you dont have to do everything in one day.

set a goal & stick to it, in the long run you'll be happy

if you do get the deadener start around where the speaker is mounted, first.

yeah i got my box from his store and wires. lol 've been going to his place for like a year.

but for deadener, should i not do my trunk first ? that has the most rattling com pared to my doors :[

have you checked out you rear deck, your bumper, lincense plate, anything on your car can create a rattle, look around.look at this video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX7Ds2r08is&feature=related

these are really helpful video's on deaden/please watch

to me I'm more into SQL so i think it's more important to work on my sound stage-front speaker-first, & deadening, placement, aiming, crossing everything over right, adjustment like on the amp & deck,etc....., means more to me then you my sub stage which i think a easier task to make sound right.

deadening your doors will help with the response of the speaker, your mids where make to fit into some type of encloser, like your sub is, you have big air leaks in your doors, when you deaden the doors right the mid will sound so much, your midbass will sound so much better, plus the upper midrange respond like its meant to,
