Do any manufacturers offer anything like this. Iv'e never built one myself and think it would be fun to learn. I looked all over PE but couldn't find anything. Any links anybody would like to share to point me in the right direction would be awesome.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What motors do you have or are you buying them as well? Always extra parts to be found on forums, though often unique stuff, which can be cool, but difficult if you want to make more than 1. There's a guy on eBay that has a ton of decent looking parts for fair prices. He's also has a bunch of good frames.

I would be buying the as well. I'm just looking at making 1 but when it comes to buying everything separate, I wouldn't know if it would all fit correctly as this being my first time. Something like a model airplane that you would pick up at the hobby shop but a woofer lol. I'm just looking to build 1 10" to take around 1000W-RMS maybe a little more.

I'd like to try and do one myself. I'd go as cheap as I could the first time around just in case I messed something up. I think it'd be cool to be one of those people that buys motors and baskets, etc. and builds his own equipment. Amp fix-it guys amaze me too. Lol!

Just to let you know, if you plan on stocking, it's hard as hell to get started. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

What do you mean stocking? I don't plan on making/selling if that's what you're referring to. I'm not trying to step on any toes just want to build A sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

If you're just looking to get some parts together and build one, there are many guys like Corey (SPLAudio) on the forum that will be capable of helping you out.

Yea I've been doing a lot of listening over on the fixmyspeaker forum and think I'm ready to give it a shot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif lol Just buy basket/motor assembly and see if they can make a custom drop-in recone and shim and see if I can get it to turn out somewhat decent. PMed SPLaudio thanks
