Build me a $2000 setup please. I am a noob!

pioneer makes excellent head units and dds for great price . for subs i would recommend the skar vvx 12s or ssa xcon 12s there great sq and spl subs. nice and accurate i think. best bang for buck is (older) audioque amps IMO there built like tanks . hope i could help bro.

Also, how much is it to pay someone to install all the audio and sound deadener?
depends on who u know...you could probably do it your self though.

For the HU, I'd start with the Pioneer 80PRS.

For front speakers, you could go with some thing like HAT or Image Dynamics upper lines or go to partsexpress or madisound and grab raw drivers and setup your own active front stage, which is probably what I would do.

(If you want to set your own active front stage up here are are some reviews on some good mids and tweets to look at:

For subs, I'd look into the JL w6v2s or Dayton HOs

As for amps, I like Boston Acoustics GT series, older and newer ones but the older ones are even better.

Also for amps you could look into Sundown, JL, Alpine, etc.

( I generally stick with the amps I've used and have proven themselves to me so my list of amp choices may seem small)

Covering a vehicle in that much "second fiddle" slap-on deadener.
Sound Deadener Showdown FTMFW
That 2 grand is going to have to cover a lot.... If you think he can use SDS without destroying his remaining budget for amps, sub(s), comps, wiring, h/u, installation, etc, then show us how.

so are you saying that stuff wont do a good job blocking out sound and I should not buy it?
ignore him, he is an idiot.

That deadener will be fine. It's not my favorite but for staying on budget it will do well. Do not cover then entire car, that is not what you do for sq installs.

I'll look into putting together what I would do for 2k. Unlike 90% of the people suggesting I actually am a sq guy.

headunit is something I will leave up to others to decide, I usually run hu's with zero tuning capability.

WoofersEtc.com - Dreadnought - ZED Audio 4-Channel 900W RMS Amplifier

run the rear channels bridged to subwoofer.

WoofersEtc.com - SLX 265 Deluxe - Rainbow SLX 6.5" 2-Way Component System

Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm 295-466

that puts you at 1200 minus hu and deadener. You will want to cover 25% of the area with deadener and then lay a layer of closed cell foam down. On top of that you will want to use mass loaded vinyl.

The biggest problem you have to overcome is the cars coloring of your sound. I would look into making tweeter spheres and mount them in a pillar on axis.
This is going to be fun to watch.... but my first suggestion is a Pioneer 80prs from @mylows10 ;
You rang !!!!!! No problem when do you want the equipment. Any ideas what you want from it. Spl. Sq. or sql

B Stock 80 Mil Sound Deadener by Audio Technix: Better than Dynamat

Est.$400 installed correctly.(incl. wiring, interfaces, etc.)

This is just a basic suggestion, a good system with emphasis on the following:
SQ, dynamic headroom ability, reliability, expandability and electrical system efficiency.
I know a 1000 watt sub stage may seem like a lot, but it is not really. It is much better to attenuate, if necessary, than wish you had more bottom end impact.

What do u see that is any good on partsexprese or madisound?
