yo

when you pull the panel off the door, see that bar that goes across the door?

shoot some spray foam behind it....

theres really nothing else to rattle except the door panel itself, so you can try weatherstripping along the panel where it meets the door,...as long as the panel is solid.

Nice idea! What bar do you mean? Across the top?

I know Ill definitely need to go through the doors when I pop them off again and eliminate any possible movement lol.

Which reminds me...

My driver side window is still ****ED. The bad part is its the track for the window thats messed up...and...I already covered the skin of the door with deadener.....which is fatmat...and its gonna be a nightmare to tear off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

The window will hang up sometimes on the way up or down, its just coming up at an angle (towards the inside of the car), kind of leaning over and hangs up on the seal a little bit. Its not a huge problem, since I can pull on the top of the window a little if necessary, but that bugs the hell out of me. I dont even know what to do to fix the track though, other than replacing it. Theres slop in it somewhere but I couldnt track it down when I investigated it before.

mids were 90 per pair, right?
Yup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I love you Knu!!! I ordered that shit wednesday morning, got it friday night......

About to go out to the garage.......gonna wire up the amps for the mids and tweets and play around with the crossovers, eq, and t/a on my deck.

Time to flip that switch!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Got the front stage done! Took me a little bit since I had to run out to the store and handle some other stuff, but nonetheless its done!

Got my amps temporarily mounted in along with my battery in the back. Wired in the tweets, plugged all the rca's into my deck and flipped it over to 3-way.

Already sounds great after just a little tweaking. I went for about about a 15 minute cruise and started dialing everything in.

Ive got the mids crossed at 50hz with a 24db slope....they LOVE it!!!

The top end is crossed at 2.5k @ 24db.

The tweets were a little hard to get dialed in. I knew it would take some tuning to balance them out with them being in the a-pillars. I started off messing with time correction a little but the top part of the stage was still waaay out of balance.

I flipped the filter setup from L=R to L/R, then dove into some adjustments with the tweets. I ended up turning the level on the left tweet way down in the crossover, which helped, but not enough. Then I crossed the left tweet at 6.5k and the right at 8k....all with 24db slopes as thats what has sounded best so far.

Now the fun starts, I get to drive around and tweak it!!!

get some techflex and heat-shrink for the wires.
All the connections are heat shrinked....thats whats in the pics.

Everything in the trunk right now is temp just for dialing in the front stage.

I still gotta make the sub box and false floor, but all the wiring will be hidden under the cover panel.

I assumed that much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

door panels look awesome, can't wait to see them with the vinyl, good luck getting it done with this cold weather coming though....
Yeah wrapping the doors in vinyl is gonna be a *****. Ive been double thinking and trying to come up with something different. I dunno, Ill prolly try the vinyl and a heat gun, with some contact cement out of one of my guns and just see what happens. Im gonna try and get a whole roll of vinyl anyways lol.
