This build is for CobaltKicker and it's for one 12" L7 going into a 2 door cobalt. I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow and get it all sanded down for him to paint.

On with the pictures:

I'll be working on it tonight and hopefully getting all the way to the top baffle. I'll be adding a little bit of bracing from front to back and the rear panel will be double baffled for the amp mounting. More pics will come as I progress.

LOL I had no idea that you looked like that. Kinda like a cross between George Lucas and Sascha Baron Cohen.
Haha, yea I get that a lot actually. Not so much George Lucas but definitely Sascha. I also get the lead singer of System of a Down a lot, Serj Tankian ( http://www.aztagdaily.com/interviews/1204system300_popup_1.jpg ) , and I think he would look exactly like me if we had the same facial hair and haircut. My beard has a lot of red in it though... and some gray.

Whats the deal with the tape?
I wanted to see how well it would work to keep the glue away from the front of the wood for staining reasons. This enclosure will be primed and painted by Sean (CobaltKicker) and it won't really do much of anything for him. My last enclosure was stained and the wood glue ****ed up the stain surface. I sanded the glue residue away to nothing by the ***** eye but it sealed up the wood well enough to reject the stain. It will also help in the sanding process to keep that nasty yellow look away.

hea what is the driver displacement of the 12" L7
I couldn't find it anywhere on Kicker's site nor was it in the manual so I just used .1 cubic feet. I'm sure it's close to that.

You've got the face of Sascha, but the beard is what made me think of Lucas.

I can see it.

The room is foggy in these pictures from the spray paint (yes I used protection) for the port.

I think I'm going to work on the rear baffle a little and then call it a night. I won't get the rear on but it should be ready and drawn out for the morning. I need to make sure the cut for it is exact and that it fits without forcing the side panel off. All the cuts are perfect as shit and I'm not off by even a 1/32" anywhere. This means that the rear panel is randomly going to be off by like an 1/8"... I can feel the random waiting to strike.

Kicker site states that the displacement is 151 cu. inches.
According to my calculations:151 (cubic inches) = 0.0873842593 cubic feet

Taken from my build log...

Where is this on Kicker's site? It sure isn't in the manual nor is it on the specs section for the L7. It's good info to know but it sure as hell isn't in the logical placement on the site. It won't change anything with my design though and actually allows for some bracing to have it fall right back into an exact 2.5 cubic feet.
