x2 and a putty knife to scrape away the excess before wiping it clean....Looks great! For future reference, I've always used a couple of terry cloth rags to wipe up excess paint on stain jobs. One wet and one dry. The dry one to get the majority of the goo, then a wet one that will get the residue up as you scrub the joint with it. You can always wash the rags before the glue dries to re-use them.
