Update from this morning... I got the back baffle painted and it's gluing right now. I used a little too much glue and the shit was getting everywhere. I'll check on it in about an hour or so and then get the port side on. Once I do that, I'll get a little bracing from the front to back and then throw the top on. This thing is looking pretty solid and should sound great.

Where is this on Kicker's site? It sure isn't in the manual nor is it on the specs section for the L7. It's good info to know but it sure as hell isn't in the logical placement on the site. It won't change anything with my design though and actually allows for some bracing to have it fall right back into an exact 2.5 cubic feet.

How do you use those orange/black clamps so conservatively? I break one or two every time I build something.

You have to be gentle. They will clamp tight enough to give a really nice bond with the wood; you don't have to squeeze the shit out of them. With that being said, my helper, Jenny, broke one a couple weeks back. I like the other clamps much better but they were more expensive. I got the black ones for about $2.50 each on sale and now they're like $11 at Harbor Freight. The other ones I have were only $9 at HF and are much better.

The side is clamped right now and I'm currently making some front-back bracing.

Divide that number by 12^3 and you will have cubic feet.

Looks great! For future reference, I've always used a couple of terry cloth rags to wipe up excess glue on stain jobs. One wet and one dry. The dry one to get the majority of the goo, then a wet one that will get the residue up as you scrub the joint with it. You can always wash the rags before the glue dries to re-use them.
