I also decided I might as well should buy quality stuff so I dropped the money for new shocks as well,

these are supposedly the best shocks made fore the s10

Well it took 2 days to do this install ..the first day I was set back by me having to replace the U bolts which I didn't anticipate, but it was for the best. They need to be replaced since it took me a 45 min just to loosen one and just before getting it off the botttom sheered off.

here's the old leaf springs coming off

It's looking good, can't wait to see it at it's final ride height //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

One question; bottom right corner, what is that? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

now what I did today was try and refinish the drums on the rear brakes

as you can see, rusty as hell

IMG_0654.jpg

finally got it off.... and all the dirt under the head came off from just removing the drum

IMG_0661.jpg

IMG_0660.jpg

after using an air chisle to get rid of all the surface scabs along with a wire grinder, I primed one , here it is next to the untouched opposite drum

IMG_0663.jpg

didnt have much time to finish it today, so it will be completed tomorrow

also, I plan to redo the whole undercarriage with rhino -line or spectrum, or something of that sort, I cant STAND rust and I'm on a mission to get rid of it. even though it is an undercarriage and no one sees it I want it to still look good.

I also have to take off my exhaust because my Gibson dual exhaust wasnt installed properly (I didn't do the install) and now it brushed up against the leaf springs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

that's a frame for a 33 ford roadster with a 398 v8, the body is being painted right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ooh, secksah //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I started my tweeter pods, and its a little more difficult than I thought. The SST.05 tweeters have a VERY large mounting depth (for a tweeter) , so in order for it to fit and not hit the actual pillar frame, it had to be bumped out

start of the baffle

I made the skeleton for 1 and then taped both together so it would be easier to duplicate.

I tried to start wrapping them but its a very awkward thing because the plastic on the pillar is too hard for the staples to go in and its going to be a pain trying to make sure they are both secured in the same way
