This is a box I made for a friend. I know it has a few flaws, but it turned out ok.

Just a test fit to see how bad Home Depot messed up the cuts.

The dowels didn't work out so I ended up removing both. I went with a mdf brace and it didn't work either.

Some cuts are crooked because a bent my jigsaw blade, and was too lazy to get another one.

Testing out the brightness and also checking to see if the lights worked. This is how I do edge lit plexi. I just went with the flow. I don't know if there's a right and wrong way to do it. I was just kind of experimenting with this box.

There are 3 Blue 11" led strips and 1 Clear 28" led on the inside. You can't really tell from the pics because my power source was too low for them to reach maximum brightness.

Time to see what it looks like installed in the Expedition

bxi2607d amp, and that wiring won't be cleaned up so don't ask

How does the down-firing sound? Some neat ideas.

I only got to listen to it for a little while. It sounded ok, but I think it's something is wrong with his rca cable. I know there's something wrong with his radio. He is going to get it rewired. There is some random strange noise coming through his speakers when he turns on the radio and will go in and out. I can say it was loud. It was making his liftgate wiper jump off the glass. They sound pretty clean on the upper bass notes. The lows were there, but should be better when they break in.
