If your coil is rubbing due to heat expansion it is a very poorly designed driver. We had some coils wound recently for a particular application and the FIRST thing we took into account was keeping enough room to allow for expansion from heat. Metal expands when heated, this will happen whether a coil is fresh or 50 years old and played every day.i think the coil will over heat and the glue will get heated up and the coil is just going to touch the magnet
Confirms my suspicion.The failures I had would surface over time regardless and they all seem to have the same issue.
