That's how my ride was when I was a teenager. It wasn't loud but it was a very clean sounding sub stage. Those old kicker freeairs and competitions were the ish. I had both series. With the "inverted structural dome" lol. Kicker fancy words for a inverted dustcap. Hahahah

The guy I'm talking about had 2 18"s on 90w a piece I believe. I'm not a SQ guy really, so I can't recommend a good IB sub. But I'm sure there are a few that work well for that application.

Here is what i'm thinking i'm gonna do in there. May change later but this seems to be a nice little combo for the amps i'm running.

Tweeters : Vifa XT25 1" Dual Ring Radiator Tweeter

Midbass : Silver Flute 8" Midwoofer

Subwoofer : Mach 5 IXL 15.2.2 Subwoofer

I know it's not expensive stuff , but i think it may shape up to be a really nice budget SQ install.

I think it will sound real good. Price does not always mean better. Hell the system you are running now sounds pretty good and its even cheaper then the stuff you have listed above.

LOL. it actually sounds pretty decent. Only problem is the subs are lacking under 40hz and the midbass is almost nonexistant up to around 200hz. 200-20k sounds pretty **** good though.

after woofer displacement it will be around 1.65 @ 36 hz.

already got subs. lol. got me a pair of american bass 8's

Yeahhhhh I know. Just sayin' lol. I might just try to pick up one of the new versions of his Ixl's and get my old one reconed with the new parts and run the 2 18's.

Probably should. This will all be when I move back to Texas. I'm like you, always love planning ish 2 years in advance hahaha.

In reality when I do get down there I'll have a way better income and could save enough to blow on a good system in about a month or two.
