This is the start of my build so far. As of right now i have (2) DC Level 3 15", Soundstream DTR1.2200, and thats it for now. I think I'm going to run my stock deck with a on/off remote switch so I can turn off the bass whenever someone doesn't want to hear it. I think I might be asking RAM for a design but I'm thinking 6 cubes net volume tuned 32hz. I will wire my subs to a 1 ohm load so it will get the full 2200 watts before impedance rise. I just ordered some KNU KCA 1/0 and that will be the power run and the extra will be my ground run. I have some other 1/0 that I'll do big 3 with. Im going to do a Kinetic hc800 up front and 1 or 2 hc2400's in the back. I am going to need a comp kit and a couple coaxils with a good 400x4 running them. Give me all your feedback and ideas to help me!

buy a new alternator ......oh, and what size are your comp. speakers? do you mean 400w/4ch, or are you actually thinking about going deaf real quick? 400wpc for mids/highs is quite loud for non-sq....

Well 6.5" and i have stock 19mm tweeters. i want the same size tweets for the stock housing. and yeah 400 watt 4 channel. you know? 100 watts per channel? haha. And when i can afford it i will get on that alternator

Should be an interesting build. Dont see many peeps doing big audioz in the Souls.

Worked at a kia dealership for a year now. I hope you dont mind your gas mileage going down the drains lol. I know its car audio and you most likely dont care about gas mileage. Heck the soul was the only car ppl didnt complain about.

O and I seen a few souls with systems in them already. Some really done nice.

Unless doing a huge arse system, I wouldnt worry too much about gas mileage.

The only time I noticed a difference and was mild was when I had my walled cars that added a ton of weight due to box/subs and many batteries.

I wouldnt worry much about it.

That all is adding up in lbs to me. MDF box too??. Its only a little 4 banger motor. And plus Kia has all ready lied about their gas mileage ratings. And on top of that. When gas hits 4 plus $$$$ Id bet you be watching that gas gauge more often lol. Dont get me wrong I am in no way trying to talk you out of anything at all. Id like to see this set up in person. I bet its going to wang in the small car. O yeah, Dont take panels and so on off in the winter time. Some reason that plastic stuff they use does not like the cold weather.

get new batts.. if you havent already bought them. the kinetiks are terrible weak until you get up to the 3800 or the 16v.. just about anything ive ever tested beat the 2400. sprinter, odyssey, xs, cactus, nsb..

Sounds like it'll be niiiiiiiice. Gas mileage will drop very very little. I been thru several 4 cylinders with systems and barely noticed anything.

It may effect it some, but very little. I had a huge *** system that was over 500 pound (Wall with two Kove 15" Armagedon's, MTX amps, which where huge as well and not to mention the 4 batteries....) in a Mazda Protege 5, which had a 2.0l in it and it dropped very little. Hardly noticed it in gas or pick up in speed. It was torqued low though.

And no difference sticking big bubba in the back, lol!
