Am I expecting too much

So here's what I've come up with I just turned the gain up a little bit and it's starting to pound a lot louder I'll do a little tuning later also the clipping I think is also coming from the highs I believe.. also when I switch it to 5 channel the sub goes off y is that

wow Just as I suspected.... hackjob as FK!!!! They wired your sub to the mids and highs output of the amp instead of using the 5th channel. They probably wired your front and rear to two channels and left the sub channel empty.

We are still talking about this??

I've ran a few 5 ch amps before int he past w/o any issues, I did the install myself. THAT is not right at all. Is that a DD 5 ch amp?

I'm guessing you didn't take the vehicle back to the shop? I'm gonna try to be nice and say grow some balls and take it back tell them to fix it until your satisfied. 100 bux says they just hooked it up w/o listening it.

I didn't have the time to go back that was the problem. Yes it's 5 channel and since those low channels only push 120 and channel 5 pushes 1000 that's the problem right? Signal source like you guys said

well now it looks like just poor wiring. Seems like they didnt even use the 5th channel so right now your sub is only getting 120 watts or so rather than the proper 1000. Why? Because your amp should be in 5 channel mode not 4.

Something isn't adding up. It looks like the 5th ch has speaker wire in it. I'm at work now so can't be much of help ATM but if someone goes back and look at the pic of the settings on his amp it shows.

Don't know if your town has one, but go to best buy. I'm positive they'd do better than this shop.
I live in SAN Antonio there's a few Best Buy's here but I also don't wanna go pay them to fix something that I just paid someone else to do. I went with these guys because they have nothing but good reviews and compete and all the national competitions so I figured they'd do good work. Guess they just don't care about the little guy
