Am I expecting too much

It was done by a shop that said it was should I just try retuning.. I mean only one twelve in a pretty big tuned box **** hit reasonably hard no? Also it keeps clipping when I try to turn turn the bass knob up

 
Factory head unit.. but it is the upgraded 12 speaker "premium" sound system in a 2012 Ford Fusion.. I wasn't looking for something to rattle my brain in here as it's my daily but this sub amp combo shouldn't be almost equivalent to my factory sub. It should slam pretty hard I would think

 
I would consult with a respected shop in the area and askif the box is appropriate for the subwoofer and also that it's oriented properly within the vehicle

 
This is probably the most respected shop in the area.. that's y I don't understand.. also like I said the box is supposedly custom tuned to this sub. I told him I felt like there should be more bass and he said if I wanna go bigger I need more power. This is where I'm confused because I've seen mtx garbage on a 350 watt amp hit harder then this is

 
Need to know how and where they are pulling the signal for the amp. Realistically with a factory system that has varying crossover points they need to pull the highs from the door speakers/rear speakers. And pull the sub signal from the factory sub. Ideally you need an loc that sums all the channels or a sound processor to get good sound.

 
Can you show us a picture of the enclosure and how the sub and port are oriented in the vehicle

As other's have said. Find out where the signal for the 5th channel is coming from

 
What I'm saying is if they pulled the signal from just the front or rear speakers, the factory system cuts the bass frequencies to those drivers because it has a dedicated sub.

I had 2 ab 15's in the same size sealed box (4cuft) and it was loud but these sql-15's are on whole different level 🤣
