I almost didn't take the money, but my aunt convinced me to. She said I would be stupid not to. I just didn't want people to think less of me because things get handed to me.

We've been over this. We got 3 million from life insurance and his company when my dad died. Paid off the house, land, and everything else. There was 2.2 mil left over after paying back loans. My old hockey coach works for Edward Jones as an investor. We invested something like 1.5 mil and we now make $30k+ each year off just dividends.

I'm not going to spend any of that 100k on my ruck stereo. That's just for a house.

They were good. Not sure if I'm going to reuse them this next build or not. I'm thinking about doing a home audio setup with them and putting a solid 1k amp to each. In my dorm, I had the Wardens on a 1kw amp and was easily the loudest room in the building.

Oh ya yer right....my bad just forgot. Gotta lotta things on my mind lately.

Just sent a message to excessive amperage. Planning to get three 350 amp large case alts externally regulated. Then switching to lithium batteries. Probably 14v and charging around 16v

Going to contact JY and see if they can make 14v lithiums. Otherwise going for caps and building 14v cells

You don't need 30k to get loud big dog. Let someone help you out with a design.

if you want numbers just do some research on other peoples silverados that hit the numbers you want and copy.
For the enclosure?

I'm building a steel cage for 5 sides that's just going to be plain and solid. The baffle will be easily removable so I can swap subs/ports easily. I'm not to that part yet. First, I need to get my electrical figured out. Matching alts, and a lighter power storage method.

There is something you want to accomplish. Or you wouldn't rebuild so often. Before you go get all crazy build something you can test tweeks and tune.

I've always seem 4 15 and 8 12s do really good in several configurations.

I've seen 4 12s own top 4 on bottom with a port in the middle do really good. I've seen them do good port on top and on bottom.

Same with the 15s. We on each side more in the middle..

You really think electrical was what was holding you back from getting loud the last go-round?

No, I'm not saying that's why I'm not loud.

Right now, electrical is my problem though. I was only charging at 13.1v before I tore my truck apart. I was talking to someone at US alternators and they suggested getting all new alternators because the ones I have don't match. They said the regulators were interfering with each other.

I met a guy at a show last year who was an engineer for JY power's lithium division.

For four 7k's, I need some serious battery (or cap) reserve. 28 AGM's is overkill, I get that.

Also, 28 batteries is way more weight than I like. I was hoping to get a lighter weight power bank when I get new alternators.

I plan to keep the subs I have now and rebuild the wall so I can test lots of stuff out and see what really works. I know someone half an hour away with a meter. First, I was going to try the two 21" wardens in a flat wall, and use the 8 Soundrives in a massive home audio setup.

Do you disagree with this plan of action?

Sort of agree. Really if you have the money go for it, but I can't fathom what kind of loss you'll take on all those batteries 6-8 months old and the cost in LIFEPO is going to run you around 8-10 stacks. You had to know a 35,000W system wasn't going to be a real daily driver with or without battery weight.

I sort of tuned out during the whole alternator fiasco, but again, if they're working, wouldn't it be best to just send them in to get the regulators fixed or externally regulate? I'd worry 13.1 isn't adequate to properly maintain your batteries, but an extra 1.3V would most probably be inaudible (10% more power). I'd bet you could drop that 10K into electrical and wouldn't even gain a full dB on the meter.

I very much like the idea of easily removable baffle. Not sure how you'll pull it off, it's one of the things I toss and turn at night thinking about the best way to accomplish.... I don't yet have any solid ideas yet and the closest thing I've heard of is like this:

Shocker Mike said this sort of thing works well and you have the option to add or remove subs to jump up and down cone area classes. May or may not work outside of SPL though... you see big db drag vehicles run "port" like this but IDK if it can be made musical.

I bought the batteries used from work, remember? They cost $180 each new, and I paid $50 each for them being 3-4 years old and float charged 24/7 by a software company. I could sell these for that easy on craigslist, which is what I plan to do. I have the money for lifepo, and now i've got a connection to hopefully get less than retail.

Two are conventional and two are hairpin wound. To send them in for new regs and get an external regulator isn't going to be super cheap, and I'd rather get all 350 amp alternators anyways so I can get the maximum out of my charging system.

I'm not changing alternators to gain on the meter. I'm fixing the problem to protect my battery and amp investment. The reason I go so overkill on electrical is that I don't want to damage $4,000 in amps. Do you understand that?

It's going to be L-brackets on the front face welded, tapped so I can bolt the baffle onto a smooth flat surface and just use a silicone-based caulk to seal. Each time, I can just unbolt the baffle and sand the caulk off.

I can't see the picture you posted. Image is broken.
