Alex's Silverado

I used deck screws (gold ones?) And dont think they held good. I ended up using the kreg screws more..
What type did you end up using.

They were gold deck screws too. Same ones I used on my last box and they were fine

I didn't get any more work done on the wall today, but I did get the other two Wardens //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Lookin pretty good. Doubled up inner walls or just single with a thick baffle? Whats the plan for bracing inside the box?

Wait, what? How many of those did you get?

Should have just taken the handles off.
The two small clips in the back are still holding the headliner.

Probably should have removed the handles, yes. I didn't know how hard that was to do

Let's wait for the tale of the tape once the shell is up to see how much volume he actually winds up with.
Yep. They each need 8 cubes, and I'm definitely going to be able to get 24 net, even if that is short of the 26 I had originally planned on

the handles have small circles that pop out with a flat head screwdriver and then you pull it out directly perpendicular to the roof, just pulled and put my headliner back last night lol it ******

You're good brah. Just keep the electrical strong and you'll have plenty of power to wang in a smallish box. 160 is in sight.

I just re-measured now and I have 30.4 cubes net after I put the baffle on

^ @hispls; too

Because I have so much internal volume, my port doesn't have to be very long. I only need about 16 inches of port length to get my 25hz tuning.

However, I got to thinking. If I just make the baffle 4" thick and don't add anything extra for more port length, I'm tuned to ~30hz. I think that would meter really well, but would I still be able to do crazy hairtricks with a 30hz tuning and next to no port length? My last box was tuned to 27hz and had like 42" of length, which is why I ask. I don't care if it's a stupid question, because I guess this build log is kinda wrecked already

EDIT: Or, is real world testing the best way to find out? I could easily add length to the port later on if it doesn't work out well

The walls has more bandwith then a small slot box.

You should be able to do hair tricks with enough power.

Are you serious or kidding? Can't tell
Why would i be kidding?

With the power you plan to put now is big enough to get loud no problem, but to get more nastier/violent hairtricks youll need more power.

Being tuned to 30hz doesnt block you from being loud nor hairtricks.

Your in the demo zone.

Thanks, it was just the way you worded it. I couldn't tell if you were serious

Hispls would disagree that I need more power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
