Kicker recommends a min of 3.5 cubes and a max of 4.5 for two cvtsit will be 2 12" cvt's....they are sealed right now and sound good but i was wonderin if i ported that same box would it sound better??

this is true. if you add a port to a current sealed box it will no longer be 2.5 cubes. and then that throws everything I've said off.ummm....will the port be external?
If not, you do know that the volume will change right? (which means the port length will have to change also to get the desired tuning)

well thats what we have now...do u know of 2 tens that would sound good ported in a box around that size or a little bigger??3.5 - 25% ( if it is a common shared space box? ) = 2.625 cf gross 2.5 is acceptablebut either way the cvt is a **** sub lolz its a shallow mount

That sounds like your telling him to port his 12's with 1 cube each.yes better and just use 2 4" ports made from standard pvc it is just fine.
