Here the deal.. i just build a 3 cube tone to 30hrz box in my 94 accord and i alway wanted to fire it forward and seal that sucker in there, turn out i did and not sure what i did, it was my first time doing this... here what i did, put the box facing the cabin and spary foam around the box and dyno on the back deck, can someone tell me what else needed to be done. should i keep it firing to the cabin or turn that box around. im using a AQ2200D from AudioQue and sub from david (team PSI) on fixmyspeaker.com or caraudioclassifelds.org and it a 15 dual 2ohm. any suggestion be good, because i would like to learn something..

well ok i know fire is bad.. ok im use the word facing example ( facing forward towards the cabins. ) it in a trunk and im looking for spl with alil sql if possible, but really looking for spl. trying to hit no lower then 145db and future goal is 150 + with a wall 4 15 but now i want to seal the trunk and sub facing toward cabin.

I was joking.................you terminology was fine, title of thread was just funny to me.

I don't know about sealing the car off but sub back port back is the loudest. my 96 coupe's resonance is 46hz, maybe yours will be the same or really close. all else is left for testing. you gotta do the work man. I knew someone with 1 15 in the trunk and did 147s. I can do 145s. Its not a hard car to get good scores.

145 in a trunk on 2 12's is harder than people think thats why i asked what he has to get 145 in a trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

just ask the world record guys what it takes lol

for the longest time the loudest 2 12" setup was around 136 iirc and that was Mike Stiers who is now the Team Maxx vp of marketing and 1 hell of a great guy with more knowledge than most on trunk builds

are you serious that 136 was the highest in the trunk back then? lol. rules have gotten more strict and retarded and scores are still higher than that. i am still a newb to the competing game so maybe the rules were different and I just don't know.

you serious?

mayhem 15" + saz3000d + 4 cubes = 146.8

and that was with no sound deadner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Mike Stiers was way above a 136 lol. He was doing a 153 I want to say with 2 MT 12s and 2 4000.1s and that was what 4-5 years ago when he was still competing. People are doing 150s now out of trunks with 10s. Have a local guy here named Steve Sears doing 153s with 2 9515s and 2 2k6Ds and thats with the seat UP.

i have one 15 special build for 2000rms and an AQ2200D in a 3 or 3.5 cube ported box tone to 30hrz. im test it on the TL (termlab) tomorrow and probably put my HK802SX amp in to test see which amp is louder and test on TL with box facing the rear. that all i can do to see which louder and wasted money on foam glue :)... remember im doin this in a sedan honda accord for now, later probably in late summer or early fall im put a wall with 4 RD alpha 15 or 4 AQ HDC3 15
