? about setting filter on HU and Amp

Ok i posted a little while ago about setting the filter on the HU and amp and have one last question. I have the LPF on my HU set at 80 and the one on my amp set around 100, therefore the HU is filtering it correct? Now my HU has an amp level adjustment does this only adjust the level of the sound at 80 HZ or at 80 and below

i hope i am correct, someone jump in if i am wrong

if your h/u is set at 80hz then it should be cutting off anything above that. if you switch your head unit to 120hz, your amp will then cut off anything above 100hz
