8" Options

I think I've settled on four ported 8" subs as it will give me the most cone area given the space and power limitations I have for my truck.

I have 2k watts, and 3.11 cft of net space to work with. I'm leaning towards some SA8s, especially if I can get them at yard sale prices, but does anyone have any experience with some of the other good options out there?

What space do you have to work with?

If under seat you likely don't have the space to properly run 4 8's ported.

SA8

B2 CC8

DC M3 8"

Atomic APX 8"

Surprisingly the DS18 8" is a very good 8" for the price too

That's in order of what I'd do, personally.

The vfl 8"s always looked impressive to me and the price isnt bad. My brother planed to run 2 of them in his ranger.

Nah. They are efficient. I ran as little as 500 watts on a pair of 95s and they did well. I may clamp 200 on the 2508 and it does fine.

How can you have net cubic feet when you don't even know the displacement of subs or port yet? That's all still up for speculation.

The fact of the matter is to do 4 8's with a proper port (where you won't get noise/chaffing) you need more space. Otherwise you're doing to have the port unloading right behind one of the subs and it's going to unload and cause problems.

Prob not gonna like it when you read this but what about 2 8's?

The DC Audio m3 8 would take that power really well. I have one as well....unfortunately I don't have it hooked up/installed so I cannot give a review on them. However, it was suggested by @CSCStang that they can take 1k daily easy. I trust his word. As he's running one also.

What is your max dimensions under the rear seat? And you have the option of raising it too.....to gain some space if you want.

I used to run a pair of dd608s tuned at 31hrtz, pretty impressive on the saz1500v3 that I ran them on.

These will be going behind the back seat. There's a ton of room back there but I'm restricted a bit by height. I'm trying to keep the top of the enclosure as close to being level with the folded seats as possible. Like this...
