8" Concealed sub and amp setup - Advice

Small footprint amp 500w look into Taramp. I'm running the HD3K (soon to change to the 6500) and their 400.4 & 1200.4. The 500.1 is 8.25" x 6.6" x 2" and about $175-$200.

Sounds like you would be better off just buying a set of good headphones and taking them with you when you leave.
A thief will cut into your soft top to steal a cheapo amp just the same as they would if you had more costly gear. They don't know the difference until the damage is already done. The key to not having your stuff stolen is to not let anyone know it's there. Stealth install methods, no windshield sticks and not bumping within a couple of blocks of where you live or places you regularly visit is a good start.
You aren't reading what I'm saying. I'm not buying a cheaper amp so that somebody won't take it. I'm buying a cheaper amp because somebody taking a cheaper one is one hell of a lot better than somebody stealing a pricey one. They are being stealth installed, which is the entire point of this thread 'concealed sub and amp setup'

I think I've finalized with getting the Precision Power PPI i650.1 from Sonic Electronix delivered to my house in Toronto for $213.50CAD and then grabbing the Kicker 40CompRT81 (CWRT81) sub for $174.01CAD from a local place which ends up being $387.51CAD with taxes and shipping in. The Kicker is a nice shallow mount sub to which I can actually build an enclosure to meet the minimum sealed volume requirements of 0.2 cubic feet. I was debating on whether or not to get the i450.1 but I thought shelling out the extra $20 could be worth it if I ever decide to change things up and need the extra power. Plus, I'd have to really figure out shipping for it because it's not available for shipping to anywhere outside of the US.

I was thinking about that. I would need to find out where to get it locally.

I think walmart carries the poly fill for pillows, same stuff though. I'm going to check it out tonight

They do carry it in the 1lb bags. I don't think you're going to make up that much airspace, but fill it up (loosely) and see how it sounds add or removing as you go.
Will do, thanks. There is actually a poly fill company around the corner from where I work that sells 1lb bags for $3
