Oh,Really? Where should I try up to? Will the 45's help much? I plan on doing them soon and routering the port openings too...should I try the PVC trick on the ports inside?

Well, no vids yet of it but I got to borrow the local stereo shops mic, its a Terra sonde audio toolbox setup so not the TL but I am pretty happy with the results, it showed a 139.4 @ 45Hz, out of 35-40-45-50Hz that was the loudest at the dash, not the windshield, not to mention I forgot to turn the sub setting all the way up on the deck, it was 4 notches below max! I am confident it has a 140+ in it and I have not even radiused the port outlets or installed the 45's!! I will try to get some vids up of it tomorrow when I try it again....

just for reference, i had 2 hdc315-a's on 6000 watts and was doing 152+ in 4.5 cubes per tuned to 39Hz

Well I laid the box down with the ports toward the drivers side now and it did a bit better, got a 140.4 on music this time and still no 45's I think it will just take some doing to get this truck loud but I think its do-able. As for Old school, I think I am pretty on par then to your setup as I am still working out the bugs and with about half the power and half the cone area I am almost 10 DB behind you...I think that's about right don't you? remember I have not taken the whole seat out or anything, and still need an alternator....Not to mention I only have a 4 gauge wire charging my batt for the amp too! It sucks it dry in about 15 seconds at max volume! LOL! Only a 1000CA batt too. I hope to get about 1 DB from the 45's hopefully and then I want to try a half piece of 3" PVC laid on top of the box to promote airflow up and out into the cab like I have seen a bunch of people do in the SUV's. Does anyone here have experience with this exact truck getting loud? I have been told it is very hard to get the crew cabs loud but I want to see what others have to say...

Sure I could do that but I am not really the take the easy route kind of guy, I am on my third setup here and every time I test it it gets louder so I know I am on the right path I just want to know if I need to try different setup altogether or is this just the accoustical(sp) nature of my truck?

Its the setup of this box dude. A straight slot port with 4-5 cubes @ 38 hz would get much higher numbers, with half the effort

Your sure of this? I have 4 complete 4" Aeros in my garage and I have enough MDF in there to do a 4.5CF enclosure, think that would do better for real? I thought the bandpass design was the most efficient?? Or maybe the rear loaded horn style...

Well from what I understand the Crew cab trucks are very difficult to get loud without doing a wall. Even DJ @ AQ told me it would be VERY hard to get over mid 140's....

It is. I have a extended cab f150. I hit a 142.6 or something close to that sealed with 1 hdc318 on a nine.1. In a truck much of it has to do with port placement. You might try laying the box on its side where both ports fire to one side. That is the loudest in my truck yet.

That's where I am at right now and it is for sure the loudest have had so far, do you think a regular aero or slot ported box would sound better/be louder?

i doubt you'll gain a full db from 45's in the box... you'll be lucky if you don't lose spl from them..

can't really compare anything tho, since you aren't metering on the term-lab.

I would imagine a regular slot/aero ported box should get over a 140 with that sub and that power...but then again you're electrical is not up to par like you stated earlier. I would concentrate on upgrading that first before you change your enclosure, especially if you're liking how this one sounds.
