my dad is a mexican immigrant that has been here since the 60's, my family is first generation, i am in law school, my sister is a captian in SAPD, my brother Javi is a SAPD detective, my Brother Jose is A SAFD rescue team fireman, Mmy brother Sal is a counselor for the state of texas penal code system. we all have college education and speak both languages fluently. we believe assimilation will yeild us a better living and will allow us to really compete with the real work force. get over it man were here to stay and if you opened your eyes and came out of your *** more often you would realize the majority is learning to assimilate. just because their fathers and mothers gave up on learning the kids know its essential to living in the US. BTW by the 3rd generation most Mexican families lose 80% of their spanish speaking in the household because they have assimilated so much. go chew on that shit for a minute.
