true, not state or local income..but its not fair to not give them credit for the taxes they do pay..
I think me and you might agree on several things. Maybe not. Ive posted a ton..my position is known from the first couple pages.

Mine is more for reasons of practicality and feasability rather than political motivation. I don't know if building a wall will help. I actually think the idea is kind of funny.

What is better is an economic disinsentive for corssing (as you mentioned) I think economic walls are far better (and cheaper) than physical ones. If you make it a felon to hire or employee in any fashion and make the contractee (such as the large company contracting out janitorial services) monetary and criminally liable, there would be no incentive to cross.

Uh thats total bullshit...everyone pays sales tax, taxes on gas, there are always taxes on water bills, phone bills, power bills, garbage bills, car taxes...they pay PLENTY of consumption based tax...and some use fake social numbers and pay into SS, workers comp ect.

The rate of contibution would depend on the tax structure of the state. New Hampshire doesn't have a sales tax, for instance. Although, locally, they pay thier fair share of non-income based local taxes (considering most states tax the hell out of consumption).

Perhaps the fines need to be increased, but more importantly the laws already in existence need to be enforced. However if the extreme want to build a wall i would agree as long as the entire issue is addressed. all 3 parts.

1. securing border

2. way for industry to get labor they require

3. assimilation for the ones already here

One thing I haven't heard is a Special fee on money sent to Mexico and other Latin American countries.

If you want to send 200 bucks home its 10% of 200, 15% for 500 30% for 1000..

Something like that and BANKS have to check ID and run instant verifications

Help keep the $$$ here

1. I agree for national security reasons

2. you forgot to add at the price they desire

3. I know of no way to legislate assimilation. You can make it hard to be different. You can also fuel a coup

You can give incentive to integrate with such things as a way to earn citizenship. Note i said earn, through some sort of process. Let them become productive members of our society and i bet the vast majority eventually will. However, you cant offer this opportunity until the boarders are secure. Increasing the incentive for more to sneak in wouldnt be beneficial.

but see, this is like cutting in line. with all realisms aside, its not right.

I would say that depends on economics. If we offer services in spanish wouldn't that give the indication that we accept you as you are and there is no need for intergration?
