Unless the person who sold the car put all of it into savings it would indeed help the GPD. Spending any of the money would help the GDP.

Doesn't matter if the car is foreign or domestically built in that situation though.

WRONG. please try again

Actually, you are wrong...if someone financed a car and the previous owner invested the funds then that does increase GDP provided the car was used. It isn't like he went to Japan and shipped it.

Ideas for you to research:

a) velocity of money

b) multiplier effect

c) federal reserve system

i understand all those ideas.

"GDP measures only final goods and services, that is those goods and services that are consumed by their final user, and not used as an input into other goods. Measuring intermediate goods and services would lead to double counting of economic activity within a country. This distinction also removes transfers between individuals and companies from GDP. For instance, buying a Renoir doesn't boost GDP by $20m. (If it did, buying and selling the same painting repeatedly to a gallery would imply great wealth rather than penury.) Note that the Renoir purchase would affect the GDP figure, but not as a $20m receipt, the auctioneer's fees would appear in GDP as consumption expenditure, because this is a final service."

LAWL.

the point here is this: ILLEGAL mexicans need to be removed from our country.

And thus would profits gained through financing and any capital gains received by the seller of the renior. If I bought and sold it 20 times and always made a profit, each profit would contribute to GDP. I think my focus was on the investment of capital gains on the sale of an automobile.

I like to think of illegal immigration as a social trap. A social trap is defined as a situation in which the conflicting parties, by each rationally pursuing their own self interest, become caught in mutually destructive behavior.
Here's an example: In Newfoundland, Canada, those who fished knew that their catch was their livelihood. By itself, a single fisherman's catch hardly impacted the fish population. However, because there were so many fishermen, they wiped out the entire fish population, and their salary along with it. In the 90's, there had to be a fishing moratorium to allow the fish stocks to regrow. That moratorium wiped out the economy of the fishing villages. Fishermen had to tear apart their boats to use for firewood.

Illegal immigration is the same thing. Each illegal immigrant by him or herself has little impact on the community around them. In fact, they enjoy a higher standard of living due to their choice to immigrate ilegally. But, after 11 million illegal immigrants,11 million, they become a detriment to society. They require the aid of public services, such as police and firefighters, and dont pay a penny for them. In many areas, the states have to pay for teachers to be trained to teach in Spanish for the children of illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants who pay nothing for their childrens education. In fact, a girl I work with used to work at a school in south Florida doing enrollment. They could not ask parents for their papers proving citizenship!!! So who is paying for the illegals to use our public services? YOU AND ME! I wouldn't have a problem with Mexican immigrants at all if they came here legally. Hell, there could be 50 million, and I wouldn't care because they're paying their taxes to pull their own weight in society.

But guys, 11 million illegal immigrants. People seem to take that number for granted. A few years back, the population of Florida was a little over 12 million. So, that means there are almost enough illegal immigrants here to populate Florida. Does that put things into perspective?

So what does the government want to do to fix this? Give amnesty to the illegal immigrants! What a great idea!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Going along with this scheme, I have come up with a few more ways to stop crimes. When a police man pulls over a speeder, he should just give him a coupon for a free Corvette. Or, why don't we punish murderers by giving them bigger guns? How bout giving corporate financial records and a list of loopholes to convicted embezzlers?

Giving illegal immigrants amnesty only gives an incentive to Mexicans to immigrate illegally. Any Mexican in his right mind would cheer on this movement because it's basically telling them its okay to immigrate illegally because we'll just make them citizens anyways. So, why even bother going through the proper channels???

The solution is: do not give amnesty to illegal immigrants! Illegal means illegal! They have broken the law and they shouldn't be rewarded for doing so. Sure, a guest worker program would be great, so long as the Mexicans understand that they have to go through the proper channels. That way, illegals don't get rewarded for their crime and the people who say "But Americans won't do those jobs anyways..." will shut up. As for the people who are already here, keep them in limbo so they keep getting shitty wages, and maybe they'll get deported for BREAKING THE LAW.

That is all.
wrong. they pay consumption based taxes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
