I said said secure the border too...
but I said no guest worker programs and if you find a illegal send them home so they cant come back..

Thats all i have been saying

WE are on the same page... I just dont want to let them get away with entering for nothing..

I want them to become FELONS, if we and when we catch them, goodbye! Since we wont catch most of them so what, at least we have a secure border and they cant sneak back in so easily..
Your plan leave millions and millions of people inside our border being exploited and kept isolated. I don't think thats a good thing. IMO much better to help them integrate and become contributing members to society. Once again AFTER the boarder is secure, so that the flow doesn't increase with people hoping for amnesty.

Again the third part of the solution is to remove the incentives people have to cross by allowing in as many as we need to hold of a negative economic impact by a reduction in labor.

All said in the past.

a) document your sourcesb) have you seen the federal government do anything that didn't cost an exhorboant amount?
this isnt a fukin official debate do a search and ok so maybe its like 2700..

So Faulkton and I agree on secure borders but not on Guest Programs, thats cool, neither of us has a say really when it comes down to Congress..

I can dig it..

I seriously doubt that. I belive system abuse my Americans cost more than that. Furthermore, we would bear as many of these costs if they became citizens and paid taxes, which is really all I ask. that and proof of immunizations.
x2

although i think a good portion already pay some taxes...consumption based taxes...gas, utility, sales, ect...

Who is advocating a immigrant revolution? I certainly cant blame the undocumented for opposing a bill attempting to make them felons, when they just come here to fill a need in our economy.

We need a comprehensive solution.

satx is the looney advocating a revolution. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif But see, by law they shouldnt even have the privilege for opposing the bill since they are not citizens. Also when you say fill a need in our economy, well yes in a sence for the short term yes. They have been coming into this country to work before world war II to do the laborous agricultural, etc jobs so America has just thought that the labour in those sectors are "taken care of." If they would be gone, sure price would surge high but for the short term. If there is work in this country needed to be done, then there are enough legal citizens that will take the job. (or felons) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But in the end im going to have to agree with you on the solution.

Eventually, wouldn't they displace "real" American jobs such as those involving skilled and factory labor. That is more a a real threat to me. I don't know how much calculus and investment finance they teach in Mexico so I feel pretty safe in my job. But my father works at a plant doing something anyone could do. I would hate to see him lose his job to an illegal immigrant based soley on the fact that they would do it cheaper. If enough jobs are displaced, there will be no one to buy the product, because many of the high paying jobs are services that depend on this class. And I don't think many of our sports stars, actors, etc are able to adapt to such a thing.

I'm also for giving the ones here incentive to becoming productive citizens...I do like the sound of them paying back taxes as a requirement.

But not federal or state income taxes, which are also employer matched. Payroll taxes is my issue here.
true, not state or local income..but its not fair to not give them credit for the taxes they do pay..

I think me and you might agree on several things. Maybe not. Ive posted a ton..my position is known from the first couple pages.

less than 50% pay taxes.
Uh thats total bullshit...everyone pays sales tax, taxes on gas, there are always taxes on water bills, phone bills, power bills, garbage bills, car taxes...they pay PLENTY of consumption based tax...and some use fake social numbers and pay into SS, workers comp ect.

How in the hell do you intend to prove their income?
It wouldn't be set up that way..it would be some arbitrarily set number to pacify the rabid opposition to any sort of bill with real teeth. Maybe $2500 or something. Wasn't the proposed senate bill like $2000?

lol, breaking the law to pay taxes and social security. I rather not see the money coming from them from taxes and just see the money thats forked over by legal citizens be used more efficiently.
