my dad is a mexican immigrant that has been here since the 60's, my family is first generation, i am in law school, my sister is a captian in SAPD, my brother Javi is a SAPD detective, my Brother Jose is A SAFD rescue team fireman, Mmy brother Sal is a counselor for the state of texas penal code system. we all have college education and speak both languages fluently. we believe assimilation will yeild us a better living and will allow us to really compete with the real work force. get over it man were here to stay and if you opened your eyes and came out of your *** more often you would realize the majority is learning to assimilate. just because their fathers and mothers gave up on learning the kids know its essential to living in the US. BTW by the 3rd generation most Mexican families lose 80% of their spanish speaking in the household because they have assimilated so much. go chew on that shit for a minute.

At best that statement is a partial argument for a comprehensive immigration reform. Something i have been saying since page 1. However, passing some sort of unenforceable criminalization bill, without the other needed parts of the solution is ineffectual.

I have also said from the start that we should give the ones already here, who we will never get out short of some sort of fascist 'yellow star' system, need to be given the opportunity and incentive to integrate.

oh god how many times do i have to say this? By securing the border!!! With a wall, cameras, patrols, what ever method...SECURE THE BORDER.

Again that needs to be done in conjunction with a guest worker program so that industry has access to the labor they require and the people in Mexico have a legal way to gain access for work. This would also allow us to be more selective in the ones we allow in!

Once the flow is controlled the third part of the equation is what to do with the ones already here...i say since we cant realistically round up all 11 million we give them the opportunity and incentive to integrate. It is not a good thing to harbor huge numbers of people with no loyalties to our nation within its borders.

Implementing just one part of the solution is fruitless...as evidenced by the 1986 amnesty bill i referenced. Go back and reread my all my posts.
