looking ****ing sexy!
makes me embarrassed to show build pics of my hdc3 box. everythings so clean and perfect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
While it's not perfect, it's pretty close; I'm no BJ... haha. For example, the rear port is about 3/32" off -- it's about 2.09375" instead of 2". A couple other panels were about a 1/16" off as well. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for me and I'm pretty picky.

Oh, whether you're working in the garage or working in the bedroom, always use protection!

jealous of your box..and weather lol...winter sucks up here in buffalo...can't build anything until the spring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The weather is ungodly gorgeous right now and it has been all week. I think it has dropped into the upper 50s at night and it's around 65-70 in the morning and 70-75 all day. Light clouds and tons of sun. It's ****ing beautiful out.

I got out and glued the top on and my taping did a near perfect job. I'll start the sanding process tomorrow and I should get it primed by then. Eh, maybe I'll do it later... right now, it's time for dinner!

Updated pictures on Post 3

I did 5/8" on a test piece and it didn't bend as freely as I wanted so I made the actual cut a hair deeper.

Before I apply the paint, I'm going to sand and primer everything except the inside of the port. I painted that with the semi-gloss black since I had a ton sitting around. The hammered paint is going to be applied with a spray can. I worked a small test piece and it looks just how I want it to so hopefully I can do that on the actual enclosure.

Updates on post 3. I'm going to be doing a lot of sanding today. I got slowed down yesterday due to the weather turning. I went for a 27 mile cross country mountain bike ride and right as I get home to start working, it rains. Today is pretty overcast but all I need to really get done is the sanding and primer. It should happen. More updates later.

looking good. and the dinner looks tasty!
Oh it was. Last night's dinner was better though:

1/2lb burger with breadcrumbs and seasonings all throughout topped with swiss cheese and honey chipotle BBQ sauce

1/4 of a 12" cheesecake no topping (****ing amazing)

chicken casserole with cream of celery soup in it and ritz cracker and almond crumbs on top

Harry and David chocolate truffles

and Fun Dip.

It was a good night. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Everything is rounded over and sanded. I didn't round over the front edges as I will have the grill sitting on it and it would look awkward.

This coсky mother fuсker decided to wait inside the enclosure for me to drop some sand paper in it. When I did, I went fishing for it and the bіtch stung me. I dropped his aѕs:

Enclosure primed and waiting for paint:

I need to lightly sand the dust out of the primer and I need to hit a couple spots again; I was priming in the dark and it really difficult to make out the primed areas from the wood. I wish I had a decent shop to work in and not in a driveway.

It's coming along nicely and I think it's going to finish very well as well. I hope the hammered paint looks as good as my test piece does.

Oh, and the grill is going to have black cloth across it so the paint quality doesn't matter as you won't really see it because it's black. Once the paint dries, I'm going to glue the cloth onto it and then put the mounting hardware in.

looks similar to a box i built last week for some arrghs
