$300 for sub

I'm looking for a 15" sub, that hits clean, and deep.

I got at least 300 to buy a sub, and then however much to build my box.

The amp that will be powering whatever sub i buy will be a PPI-PCX 2125. It's rated at 500w RMS, and 1000w peak @ 4 ohms.

I was leaning towards a Kicker L7, but it is power hungry, and 500w probly isn't enough. I am more than likely going to make a Ported box, although sealed may be the only option because i may have to put it behind the backseat of a Jeep Wrangler (maybe 1-2 cubes sealed at best behind seat) and if i can take the backseat out i don't think 4-5 cubes of airspace is out of the question.

you can get 1000 watts at 2 ohm... maybe if ya spit out 290 more bucks you could get a xxx or brahma

well let me think brahma woudl be nice but 500 watts isnt much. im leaning towards a EDK. 500 watts would be ok right ? that would be my choice.

and i can always get a bigger amp.

If that is the case, it would be a JBL 1200.1

Edit: But i would think that the amp i have would push 700-800w without much problem.. but then again i would have to get it tested to know for sure

you could go with teh 15" L5, its not as power hungry, and its basically the same driver as the L7 without the power handeling

I see that the Adire Tempest would take the power that i have, and it seems like a nice sub.

Anybody heard one of those?

Adire Tempest, maybe Brahma..

RE HC, or XXX

Elemental K

Kicker L7, maybe an L5..

All in 15"

Right now i don't have enough power for the XXX, or the Brahma, but i'm going to get rid of my Current amp, and buy a NINe.1, or a JBL 1200.1

Any help would be appreciated, because i need a new sub fairly soon.

yo i got an L7 15" dual 4ohm if you want it. it's a prototype sub that has seen about 3-4hours of play time and really in awesome shape. it's from august of 01' have pics if you want em go to "got my prototype L7 15" under the search part. if your interested make an offer.

Thanks for the offer.. But i need a Dual 2 ohm sub.

my amp right now is 4 ohms 1000w peak... and the one i Want is a 1 ohm amp.. so unless i got two D4 ohm subs I couldn't use my amp(s)
