I wonder if auto manufacturers now do this because radios are very integrated that they have become expensive. Good thing that Kicker foresaw this issue and built in the resistor.

Do the seats have some kind of spike that slide into the holes of that bar? If yes then those may be safety straps that would keep the seats from sliding forward in an emergency.

No, Those holes you see are for little rubber bumpers

Those box parameters are sweet, no need to worry of the enclosure being too small. Can't wait to hear your opinion on their performance.
