my fault i have 4 12" all single 4ohms (2boxes) i have 1 wire going from the amp (only way it would fit) spliced into all the sub wires

so it's wired 1 ohm? it could look better than what you have, but if that is what you like then roll with it. Personally i would want some sort of distro block or something a little cleaner looking...

i thought i was at 2ohms? it was never to show off just some cheap subs.. idk i was thinking since i had 4 they would be moving some around my astro van but aint really that loud

Have "more" is not always best. More times then not the number of subs does not dictate how "loud" the setup will be.

If you have 4 single voice coil 4ohm subs you can only wire them to 1, or 4 ohm if they are all going to the same channel.

to get them wired to 2 ohm you would have to wire 2 speakers together and the other 2 speakers together and then put them on seperate channels.
