well if you would goto http://www.spldynamics.fl and look at them, the ext-3000d is there best line of amps, and the only one on the site that tops it is the ext-4000d I blieve. The amp was bought straigt from the factory, and with shipping and handiling from accross the sea was about 1800. If you can find it cheaper please show me a link, also make sure to translate the currency from whatever it is into us dollars!!
Either way its not my amp, so I dont care all that much about it. I was just looking for advice to see if its probolly toasted or not.
Almost any one knows that a gain is not a volume noob, but tell this to my friend that installed the amp, he will swear back and forth with you on that all day!
Also according to him, you cant wire a 4 ohm dvc up in parralle for a 2 ohm load at the amp, or vice versa wiring it in series for a 8 ohm load at the amp. I dont know if i said this before or not, but he thinks he knows everything because his family use to own a skating rink, and he thinks that club audio and car audio are pretty much the same, and that it is ok if you are clipping your amps out in a club setting, so it should be ok to do the same with car audio.
