13Ov.2 D4's...$70.00

If you will remember correctly, the last 'clearance sale' eD had involved selling product that had been sitting in a random pile on their shop floor, much of which was broken.
The EHQS 12's and EHQS 8's that most people ended up using in HT enclosures or in their womens cars for a little thump?

Or the Nine.5's that we're still selling?

I don't remember a pile of random crap that we've sold...well...ever. Everything in the warehouse is 99% organized. It's been a little messy lately thanks to HT subs clogging the floor space but everything is pretty much exactly where it should be with all the rest of the similar items.

You're a smart guy, so get the facts straight before posting BS like that.

What is this person talking about then?...
"How I saw it was because of the eD email I got.

Slight semi high-jack here.

I noticed that eD is selling some "B" STOCK items.

FAIR WARNING HERE GUYS on B-STOCK and eD.

I bought a 11Kv.2 B-Stock and it came with dust a few other little marks no big deal but when I saw the whole in the surround from a slipped screw driver, that was different. The description had no mention of this or or other possible defects just that was a B-stock refurb.

I was told by eD that the B-Stock items are used and I quote "in a big pile" and "and there is no way to know" what is actually wrong or what happen to each one. So what you and I may think is refurb or B-stock is not what eD thinks it is. I have bought plenty of B-stock from several different manufacturers and I can say I have really have had not an experience like this.

After a month of slow return of emails and phone calls they agreed to give me a new one for and extra 20.00. Well it's 7 weeks into this thing and I just received the WRONG speaker at my door. Have left 2 "nice" messages and still no return phone call.

Sorry for the rant it just triggered something in me.

To be fair, I usually dont post negative info about eD unless its confirmed. This is not confirmed. Can you confirm or deny this mandos? If you want your statement to appear true, it should be addressed.

Yes I realize it was a "B stock refurb", but still. And he clearly says eD told him it came from a "pile". *shrug*

What exactly does "refurb" mean at eD? Grab a piece out of a pile, ship it out, and hope it works? This guy says you sent him a 'factory refurb' with a screwdriver hole through the surround, that should be embarrassing as hell to your company, no?

That one, honestly, never should have left here. I know exactly who that is and that has been taken care of. To be fair, Alex had been attempting to call him back about 4 hours before that post but there was no voice mail at the # left.

B-stocks aren't in "piles." I don't know why he was told that. B-stock items are on pallets on a pallet rack, wrapped with similar items. All of the things on those pallets are cosmetic issues. A tear in the surround obviously isn't a cosmetic issue and I've had chat with the shipping dept. to make sure that never happens again.

Does it ****? Yeah. Is that the only person I've ever heard of that got something that clearly wasn't a cosmetically b-stock item when they purchased something b-stock? Yeah.

The only things that leave here b-stock should either have a little extra glue on a dust cap or ended up with a scuffed back plate. Mechanically it should be 100%.

Definitely embarrassing but also an insanely isolated incident. That would be like saying everyone gets shipped porn catalogs from Amazon.com because some person once had an Adam and Eve catalog somehow stuck in with their Dr. Suess book.

I do not wish to get into it with you, and I thank you for your response... but your company has a history of isolated incidents.
Im glad you took care of this guy.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Doesn't EVERY company have incidents? Machined or by hand, there's always going to be some problems. Quality check can't always be 100%, and if the issue is eventually resolved, what's the big deal? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Oh well...glad to see that problem got sorted out, as I've had one before too (I think I even talked about it in this thread) and it got solved above my expectations. I commemorate them for their customer service, and for that I continue to buy their products.

I'll end it there..

I know very well of people with issues in the past, before I was here. Actually, in two weeks I'll have been here for 1/2 the life of the company. There are very few incidences since I've been here where something like that happened.

jer_stud56: I, being from North Dakota, am obviously far nicer to you due to your location than I would be to other customers.

If you wanna know audioholic's views towards eduh do a search. Even thought its funny **** when says it, he's gone into detail numerous times. Or just keep it going an Ill read on.

Yes I know, just like you have never seen anything sold out of a pile and can't explain why he was told that. Or when eD claimed their eDead V1 didn't meet tolerances, it was an 'isolated incident'. The broken flat cones? More isolated incidents. I dont know what incidents you are calling 'like that', perhaps you mean you've never seen another 'refurb' ship out with a screwdriver hole in it before. I have no idea. But I do know eD has a propensity to brush off mistakes as isolated incidents.
jer_stud, your comments show you do not know the whole story. I'll leave you to find the info on your own, if you have time between rolling your eyes.

Chris is that you? Haha.

FYI, I found out about the company right before the flat cones were discontinued...October 2003.

They stopped selling before I ever bought anything and long before I worked here.

There definitely isn't a pile of stuff. Maybe Alex was having a bad day when he told him that, I have no clue, but there isn't a "pile" of anything. I just took inventory 2 days ago. I do it every month. There aren't piles anywhere or I'd flip out at our warehouse manager. It's bad enough counting things when you can't walk around freely due to too much stuff out there...if I couldn't count things because they weren't in their correct spot...well, it's happened before and no one was happy.

And yeah, it's Chris.

mandos, why do you think any of this is about you, or when you started at the company? When you started with eD in relation to the flat cone scandal is irrelevant.

Whether or not the parts in question were literally in a 'pile' isn't really that important either. The attitude of 'whatever man its just B-stock anyway' is relevant. What will be the excuse if any of these subs turn up faulty?... 'whatever man, it was only $70'...?

Like you say, maybe this employee was having a bad day when he told a customer something that, apparently, is 100% untrue. For no apparent reason. Why he would do this, even when having a 'bad day', escapes me... unless he was out to sabotage the company. In any event, its good to know its just another isolated incident.
