The Idq for that small box

I was leaning towards the IDQ as well but would only be able to feed it the 500 RMS when I can put out 1000 RMS from my amp at 2 ohm. Seems with such a small enclosure and sealed that more power going to it would be better. Am I thinking right?

I can spend around 200 to 300 but prefer to stay on the lower end of that range

you mentioned jlw3v3 in your initial post. i have one and they need 1.25 cubic feet sealed or so

at the top end of your budget of 300 and top end of your mounting depth 6.89 in

you can consider JL 10W6v3-D4

enclosure with only 0.55 cu. ft.

i got my jlw3v3 there and it turned out fine.

Mounting depth is only 6.5" so the JL won't work I don't think

Not sure how you feel about a spacer. Can give you an extra 1/2 inch.

then you wont have to make any compromise on depth
